This course is a mandatory course for those who work in the health and social care sector whose role involves moving and assisting individuals.

Participants will gain an awareness and update of the current legislation and guidelines and to alleviate any poor techniques adopted to ensure the safety individuals they care for, themselves and others. Participants will also gain an awareness of the spinal function, correct positioning and posture, controversial techniques, biomechanics and ergonomics and types of moving and handling equipment.
