Description
This course is a mandatory course for those who work in the health and social care sector whose role involves moving and assisting individuals.
Participants will gain an understanding of the current legislation and guidelines and to alleviate any poor techniques adopted to ensure the safety individuals they care for, themselves and others. Participants will also gain an understanding of the anatomy of the spine, correct positioning and posture, controversial techniques, biomechanics and ergonomics and types of moving and handling equipment. This course is ideal for new staff who have not worked in the health and social care sector before to ensure they receive in-depth training when it comes to the practical element of moving and assisting.
