This is the unit 1 of the 3-day First Aid at Work course. From completing this course, participants will gain the knowledge and practical competence necessary to be able to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, consent when giving first aid and treatment to casualties, how to administer CPR, place a casualty in the recovery position and administer first aid to a casualty who is choking, having a seizure, in shock and bleeding.
