This course is for those who work in the health and social care sector and whose role is caring for individuals with dementia. From attending this course, participants will gain an awareness of dementia and the umbrella syndrome that includes associatedconditions such as Alzheimer’s disease as well as gaining a greater awareness of the sensitive issues faced by these individuals and their families.

This course can be used as an introduction for staff new to the area or as a refresher for participants who want to maintain or update their knowledge.
